Why Do You Need A Wedding Time Line

How stressful can it be to brides to plan for their wedding while they do everything else in there life.  A recent statistic says brides spend more time wedding planning in the last three months leading up to their wedding, and spend an average of eleven hours a week planning. Nearly 50% also found that planning their wedding was more stressful than they expected. Nearly one-in-three hire or use an event/wedding planner, with more than half of those brides hiring them for day-of coordination.  So why do you need a wedding time line?

A wedding time line is a key component in keeping yourself on a strict schedule, allowing you to stay organized an on top of your game during your busy day to day schedule.  It also allows you to look through and see all of the needed vendors, such as: DJ, Photographer, Caterer, Etc., and help you to setup your day of schedule.  The time line will let you stay on track and within the  frame of each scheduled event at  your wedding.  The photo below  is a time line for each individual guest, helping both you and your guests stay on tract on the wedding day.

Here are a few tips to remember about your wedding time line…

1.  You need to be realistic about the schedule that you setup.  The last thing you want is to be overloaded and overwhelmed with things that you cant keep track of.

2.  Make sure that people who are attending the wedding know what your schedule is going to be at least a week in advance, this includes the vendors you have hired.  Keeping people in the loop extremely important to having things run smoothly.

3.  When things seem to be going off course you can always look toward your photographer to get you back in the saddle, and keep things moving.  He can do this like no other because he/she is essentially  your shadow all of the wedding day.  You will just need to make sure that you give him permission, this will also take pressure off of other vendors so that they wont feel as if they are nagging you .

4.  Remember you can not account for everything may or may not happen on the wedding day. You are surrounded by your loved ones, closest friends, and a room full of professional vendors, who want to see your day be as perfect as possible.
