After graduating from Appalachian State University with a B.S. in Communications, Jeff started working at the radio station in his hometown of Jefferson, NC. It didn’t take long before the phone calls started coming in from soon to be brides needing a DJ. The first “gig” included two turntables, borrowed speakers from a friend, and a combination of good luck and duct tape to make it work!
The equipment has vastly improved after 26 years, and so has the knowledge and experience to make your occasion special. Jeff likes to call his method “read and feed.” He has the ability to “read” the needs and expectations of the crowd, while “feeding” off the energy the crowd provides. Jeff (“JB”) at Charlotte DJ is awesome! He was so easy to work with, quick to respond to email, and really got my style. I worked with Charlotte DJ on both an event for work and for my wedding. Jeff made me feel totally comfortable and did a wonderful job for my wedding. He kept the party going to the very end with great song after great song! They are all professional but fun, and never “cheesy” which was super important to us.
Jeff did an amazing job at my wedding! We had planned on having the ceremony outside and unfortunately it rained… Jeff was very helpful to make sure everything went smoothly as we transitioned to moving the ceremony under the tent we had set up for the reception. Charlotte DJ & Events did a great job djing our wedding. We got married in Outer Banks (OBX) and they were willing to travel and help with our money problems.
